LSU’s bullpen got some help on Wednesdsay.

Kaden Smith, a right hander from South Florida, committed to LSU. He fired 46.2 innings for the Bulls in 2026 and posted a 4.24 ERA. Smith’s fastball reached 97 mph, and he started eight games as a sophomore last season.

Smith is 6-foot-2 and 190 lbs. He’s a native of Ocala, Fla., and began his college career at TCU. He’s the third arm LSU has added in the portal joining Landon Hood from Gonzaga.

College baseball’s transfer portal closed on Wednesday. Players who have entered can still pick a new destination, but no new entrants are permitted.

LSU continues to look for offense and bullpen help. Smith offers the latter.
