After a career year from New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave in 2025, his 2026 season is on track to be even bigger and better.
With new additions around the offense, there should be more than a few mouths to feed for the group, but head coach Kellen Moore won’t have much trouble entertaining that and keeping Olave in focus as the team’s top wideout.
The addition of rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson has the potential to open up Olave’s game even more as the two can hold complementary roles across from one another, each commanding attention away from the other and creating opportunities in the process.
Chris Olave Will Lead Saints In Receiving Yards This Year
Our first prediction of the offseason is that Olave will be the player to finish the 2026 season with the most receiving yards.
Even with Tyson and a group of talented tight ends, Olave will be the focal point of the passing offense. He’s going into his second year in Moore’s system, already has an undeniable chemistry with quarterback Tyler Shough and will be looking to either earn a contract extension or prove the Saints right in giving him one ahead of the season.
In his four years in New Orleans, Olave has already achieved this feat three times: in 2022, 2023 and 2025. The one season he did not, he still managed to lead all wide receivers in receiving yards by the year’s end despite appearing in just eight games.
2026 should be no different. Tyson will see his role continue to grow over the year and very well could join Olave as a 1,000-yard receiver, but things may start slow for the rookie.
Olave is set to hit the ground running and, if he stays on the field again like he did last year, should catapult himself into a new level of status among NFL wideouts by the season’s end.
