Jordyn Tyson will lead 2026 Saints in receiving touchdowns

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints’ wide receiver duo of Chris Olave and Jordyn Tyson are set to be a dynamic tandem in head coach Kellen Moore’s offense.

Olave is coming off of a career year while Tyson is entering the pros as the 2026 NFL Draft’s best wide receiver prospect. Both players can run a full route tree and specialize in creating separation. But both also have their own unique skill sets as well.

While we predicted Olave to be the leader in receiving yardage by the end of the 2026 season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the young rookie take the scoring crown because of his play style and specialization as a dynamic threat with the ball in the air.

Jordyn Tyson Will Lead the Saints in Receiving Touchdowns This Year

Tyson’s bread and butter as a pass catcher has always been his ability to make highlight reel catches with what looks like ease.

Either by skying up over a defender, creating last-second separation at the catch point or contorting his body in some unbelievable ways to come down with a pass, Tyson has long positioned himself as a fantastic playmaker when the ball is headed his way.

Those traits are going to make him a desirable target in some favorable situations. The Saints improved toward the end of the season in 2025 as a red zone team and Tyson is only going to add to that success. His 6-foot-2 and 203-pound listings look like undersells after witnessing his big-play potential.

While Olave continues to produce at a high level for the team, moments when he draws attention away from Tyson could make for easy pickings by quarterback Tyler Shough in plus-territory.

New Orleans has a lot of potential playmakers on the roster. But the No. 8 overall pick is sure to be a focus in scoring situations.
