If tearing up the ACC didn’t convince MLB scouts about Bino Watters, the last month probably did.
An SEC season is coming soon, but Watters is lighting up Cape Cod with a wooden bat and figures to be one of LSU’s top hitters in 2026.
Dawson Park and Cade Kurland have played stellar defense and produced a little bit with the bat, as well.

- Eddie Yamin IV (Brewster Whitecaps) 10-for-52 (.192 BA), 3 HR, 4 2B
Watters improved his batting average by almost 40 points in a week. He’s not slugging a ton, but he’s getting on base over 40 percent of the time.
Wachs continues to post an on base average over .150 points better than his low batting average.
Kurland doesn’t have an error in 20 games played, and Park has just two misplays in 68 chances.
Yamin is hitting below the Mendoza line, but he’s made his hits count. Seven of the 10 are for extra bases including three longballs. He’s played catcher and first base.
Watters is clearly the highlight for LSU. The other layers have pros and cons on the stat line. Cade Arrambide struggled on The Cape last year and erupted in the spring.
Consider Parks and Kurland playing defense as a win; Watters has the makings of a star.
