LouisianaSports.net has learned that Kevin Sherrer will join the LSU football staff. His role is not yet clear.

Sherrer most recent worked as the defensive coordinator of the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL. In 2024, he was the defensive coordinator at Georgia State.
Sherrer’s coaching days date back to the mid 1990s when he started in the Alabama prep ranks. He rose to Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama where he was the Director of Player Development from 2010 to 2012. On the field, he worked as Georgia’s outside linebackers coach from 2014 to 2017 and became Tennessee’s defensive coordinator in 2018.
He worked for two years in the NFL with the New York Giants coaching linebackers in 2020 and 2021.
