LSU’s offensive line centerpiece will don No. 18.
Braelin Moore was chosen to wear the prestigious uniform during his fifth and final college season, the school announced on Wednesday. His first three seasons came at Virginia Tech, making him the second transfer (Mehki Wingo) to receive the honor.
Last season, Moore started 12 games for LSU at center and only allowed one sack in 623 snaps. He elected to return to LSU in December instead of pursuing a career in the NFL.
The Bethlehem, PA., native has been named to the academic ACC and SEC teams during his college career. Due to NCAA rules, Moore will wear a No. 18 patch on his jersey and maintain the No. 61 we wore a season ago. Lloyd Cushenberry did the same when he was given the number in 2019 as the starting center on a national championship team.
