The New Orleans Saints have set their initial 53-man roster ahead of the 2026 regular season. With only a few spots open to be earned on this year’s 53, there weren’t a lot of big surprises.
However, do expect this roster to look slightly different by the time Week 1 rolls around. In a lot of cases, teams continue to tinker with their player group well after the initial roster is set.
But for now, here is the Saints’ 53-man roster as it stands following roster cuts.

The NFL deadline to reach a 53-man roster is 6:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Veteran players with at least four years of service that were cut now have the opportunity to sign where they please, including those that may look to return to the Saints’ practice squad. The team can carry six veterans on that supplementary roster.
Younger players with less than four vested seasons are subject to waivers. Teams have until 12:00 p.m. CT to claim players. Those with waiver claims will be awarded to teams based on the NFL’s waiver order, which aligns with NFL standings, much like the NFL Draft order.
The Saints will have the eighth place of priority.
