LSU President issues statement on court ruling

The morning after an East Baton Rouge Parish judge granted more than 30 student-athletes a preliminary injunction for a fifth year of college eligibility, LSU’s president issued a statement.

Dr. Wade Rousse did not provide any clarity as to whether LSU’s football program plans to roster former Ole Miss players Dae’quan Wright and Zxavian Harris who were plaintiffs in the suit. Wright has been practicing with LSU for a week, and Harris is in Baton Rouge.

LSU must submit its roster by midnight Friday, but it can add enrolled players later if roster spots open.
