Saturday was one of the wildest days in recent memory for the SEC. There were last second miracles, revenge storylines and a shocking upset in College Station.
Here are some numbers to know after a wild Week 3.
LSU-Ole Miss
3 – Sam Leavitt only completed three passes over five yards in the first half against Ole Miss.
3 – LSU is now predicted to lose three of their remaining nine games according to ESPN FPI. As of Sunday, they’re favored by less than 50% against Alabama, Texas and Tennessee.
77.8 – Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss’ fourth quarter completion percentage was 77.8% against LSU.
1 – LSU’s odds to win the national title according to BetOnline are 16/1. That’s one spot ahead of Ole Miss who sits at 20/1 despite losing to the Rebels on Saturday.
The rest of the SEC
1,046-1 – Teams were 1,046-1 when leading a game with less than :10 seconds remaining while having possession of the ball. That number is now 1,046-2 after Vanderbilt’s come from behind victory.
138 – Georgia has won their first three games by a combined 138 points. That’s the highest point differential they’ve had as a team dating since 1915.
3 – Kentucky’s win over Texas A&M was just their third win against a top ten team on the road since 1980.
11/1 – Kamario Taylor’s odds to win the Heisman trophy are now at 11/1 according to BetOnline. Taylor entered the season just four weeks ago with the 41st best odds at 150/1 and now has the fourth best odds to win the award.
94.8 – Gunner Stockton’s QBR through three games is 94.8, which leads all of FBS.
8 – FSU converted 8 of 15 third downs against Alabama. Prior to that game, Alabama had allowed just one third down conversion all season, which led the season.
4 – Tennessee will host ESPN’s College Gameday this Saturday as the Vols host Texas. It is the fourth consecutive SEC campus that will host the show to start the 2026 season.
10-2 – With Vanderbilt’s win over NC State and Alabama’s win over Florida State, the SEC improved to 10-2 against Power Four opponents in non-conference games.
87.8 – LaNorris Sellers threw two interceptions and completed just three passes over ten yards despite having a clean pocket on 87.8% of his dropbacks against Mississippi State.
34 – After taking a 16-0 lead against Mississippi State, South Carolina was outscored by 34 points (41-7) over the next 34 minutes.
1-41 – Coming into Saturday’s game, South Carolina and Mississippi State were a combined 1-41 when trailing at the half under Shame Beamer and Jeff Lebby respectively.
0 – In 40 years of watching SEC football, Arkansas was the first team I’ve ever watched that was so bad, the opposing team (Georgia) worked on individual drills in a makeshift practice session at a TV timeout.
