We’re less than 24 hours away from most of the Southeastern Conference games this weekend. There are some very interesting betting lines this week in the SEC.
As we do every week, let’s take a look at the line movement for all nine games.

The Takeaway
There hasn’t been a ton of line movement this week despite some of the disparities listed above. Most of the games for this weekend in the SEC opened this summer because they were all viewed as “Game of the Year” type games.
The conference will have five different Top 25 matchups this weekend. Some of those, Georgia and Oklahoma, have lost a little luster, but others like Texas-Tennessee and Florida-Ole Miss have more intrigue than ever.
The two most intriguing lines, once again, involve the two teams from Mississippi.
Ole Miss is coming off one of their biggest wins in program history, yet there are just the fifth top 5 team in the last 48 years that find themselves an underdog to a team ranked outside the top 20. All four of those previous situations saw the lower ranked favorite not only cover the spread but also win outright.
The other game is Mississippi State, who has seen their line balloon all the way up to -6.5 at points this week. That’s up five points from the opening line. That number has settled back down to -5.5 with a little over a day until kickoff, but it’s safe to say people are riding the Mississippi State hype train. As they certainly should.
