METAIRIE – The New Orleans Saints saw the return of a few key players that were away from practice on Wednesday’s walkthrough. All good signs, especially on the offense, as their Week 5 game Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings approaches.
Here is the notable attendance from Thursday’s practice:
Returned
- WR Chris Olave (NIR-rest)
- WR Barion Brown (thigh)
- RB Alvin Kamara (back)
Each of these players was listed with an estimated “Did Not Participate” designation coming out of Wednesday’s walkthrough, but each were present and participating on Thursday.
Not Seen:
- EDGE Anfernee Jennings (knee)
- CB Jayden Price (undisclosed)
- LB Kaden Elliss (calf)
- DL Davon Godchaux (likely rest)
The defensive side of the ball is still missing some key contributors with Elliss and Kennings out, while Price’s absence may create some concern in the return game opposite Brown. Price was not listed on Wednesday’s injury report.
Good news on defense came with a few players that were listed as limited participants on Wednesday with edge rusher Carl Granderson and safety Julian Blackmon both present and working on the field for a second day despite their initial designations.
