Saints climb NFC South odds in latest Super Bowl futures

Vincent Carchietta

The New Orleans Saints may still be longshots to contend for a Super Bowl, but their standing in the NFC South is beginning to improve. Following their Week 6 comeback victory over the New York Giants, the Saints have climbed past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into third place in the latest division futures at BetOnline Sports & Casino. New Orleans is now listed at 17/4 (+425) to win the NFC South, trailing Carolina (even money) and Atlanta (7/2). The Saints remain 200/1 to win Super Bowl LXI and 100/1 to capture the NFC championship.

While New Orleans is making modest gains, the biggest shakeup in the NFL futures market comes from Philadelphia. Following the news that Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss the remainder of the season because of blood clots in his lungs, Philadelphia’s Super Bowl odds have plummeted to 200/1, matching the Saints. San Francisco remains the Super Bowl favorite at 6/1 as the NFL approaches Week 7.
