PARIS, France — The New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their inactive players going into their Week 7 matchup in Paris, France.
For New Orleans, the biggest story comes on the offensive line with right guard Cesar Ruiz inactive and rookie Jeremiah Wright stepping into his first career start.
Saints Inactives
- S Mike Reid
- RG Cesar Ruiz (knee)
- TE Treyton Welch
- EDGE Tyree Wilson
- DL Nathan Shepherd (illness)
- DL John Ridgeway III
- QB Zach Wilson (3rd QB)
With Ruiz inactive, Wright will step in. He was impressive in his 41-snap debut last week against the New York Giants. The Saints will be looking for a repeat performance from the fourth-round pick in Paris.
Shepherd continued to be sidelined from his illness, this is now the third consecutive game in which he’s missed due to the ailment. The team will be focused on stopping the run with its defensive line with Khristian Boyd active in place of Christen Miller.
The Saints are going a little lighter than usual at tight end for this game, but will still have three available in Juwan Johnson, Noah Fant and Oscar Delp.
