Oklahoma will be making a change offensively for the remainder of the season. According to multiple reports, they have fired offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle. According to Matt Blackwell of the Crimson Captain, Jason Witten will be the interim offensive coordinator for the remainder of the season.

Arbuckle was brought in at the start of last season from Washington State, along with current quarterback John Mateer.

Oklahoma’s offense has regressed mightily this season and ranks near the bottom of the SEC in most major statistical categories. Through eight games this season they rank 108th in scoring offense (22.0 ppg), 128th in rush yards per game (106.8 ypg) and 111th in total offense at just 336.9 yards per game. They also scored ten offensive touchdowns this season in six games against Power Four teams.

Oklahoma travels to Gainesville, to play Florida this Saturday.
