Ohio State tops final AP Poll, SEC places seven teams in Top 25

The final AP poll for the 2024 college football season has been released, with Ohio State claiming the top spot after its national championship win over Notre Dame. Texas finished as the highest-ranked SEC team at No. 4, ahead of No. 6 Georgia, despite losing to the Bulldogs twice.

There were several compelling storylines from the season and the subsequent final Top 25 rankings. Army finished the season at No. 21, marking its first time ending the year ranked since 1996. South Carolina also finished with their highest ranking since 2013. 

Seven SEC teams earned a spot in the final rankings with three in the top 10.
