Tre Morgan Promoted to AA

Tre’ Morgan is moving up.

Sunday the former Tiger was called up to Double-A Montgomery by the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Morgan hit .371 with 24 extra base hits and 44 RBI for the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the Rays’ Single-A affiliate.

Back in July, Morgan was featured in the MLB Future Skills Showcase as a part of All-Star Weekend. He’s ascending rapidly after being the 88^th overall selection of the 2023 MLB Draft.

Morgan becomes the third member of the 2023 national championship roster to reach the Double-A level. Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews did so last August. Crews has since been moved up to Triple-A, and Skenes has established himself among the MLB’s best this summer.
