There will be one New Orleans Saints player at this year’s Pro Bowl Games, after all.

New Orleans was one of just four NFL teams without a player selected to this year’s initial Pro Bowl Games roster. That has now changed. Saints center Erik McCoy, a first alternate this year, has been added to the Pro Bowl roster.

McCoy appeared in seven games in 2024, but started the season as the highest-graded offensive lineman by Pro Football Focus.

He allowed three pressures in his seven appearances and no sacks on the season. The Saints’ seven-game slump began after losing McCoy during a week three matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, showing just how valuable he was to the offense’s fiery start over the first two weeks of the season.

McCoy is currently the lone Saints player to make this year’s Pro Bowl. He will replace Philadelphia Eagles center Cam Jurgens, who will be preparing for a Super Bowl appearance the following week. This is McCoy’s second Pro Bowl nod of his career, making him the first Saints center to participate a second time.
