He hasn’t even played a full season in the big leagues yet, but Paul Skenes is already one of the premier faces of baseball.
Tuesday it was announced that Skenes, along with young sensations Elly De La Cruz and Gunnar Henderson, would appear on the cover of the popular video game MLB The Show 25.
Skenes torched the Major League Baseball scene with his blistering fastball and devastating offspeed pitches in 2024. He was named the first rookie to start the All-Star Game since Hideo Nomo in 1995 and went on to win Rookie of the Year honors. He also finished third in the national league’s Cy Young voting. He is now the betting favorite to win the award in 2025.
