There is one day left until National Signing Day and Florida picked up another player for their 2025 class. Billy Napier was able to flip three star defensive back Onis Konanbanny from Tennessee to the Gators.
Konanbanny has been committed to Tennessee since August. However, after taking several visits to Gainesville during the fall he fell in love with the Gators.
“That second visit was when Florida really opened my eyes,” Konabanny told On3. “When I was down there for the official visit, it was nice, but I was still thinking about Tennessee then. I almost didn’t go on the official visit. Florida pushed for me and made me feel needed. That made a big impact on me.”
Konanbanny is the No. 409 ranked prospect in the country and No. 41 ranked cornerback for the 2025 class. He gives the Gators 26 commitments for the 2025 cycle and vaults them to the No. 7 ranked class according to 247Sports.
