Texas RB Coach Tashard Choice leaving for NFL Job

Texas will lose a key staff member for the 2025 season, according to Matt Zenitz of CBSSports. Running backs coach Tashard Choice is leaving Austin to accept the same role with the Detroit Lions.
Choice has been the running backs coach for Texas for the last three seasons. Prior to that, he worked at Georgia Tech from 2019-2021. Choice has been key to the development of NFL starters Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs.
Choice played six years in the NFL from 2008 to 2013. He has been a rising star in the coaching world.
