Ole Miss guard TJ Daniel entering transfer portal

Ole Miss guard TJ Daniel announced Monday that he will enter the transfer portal. The news comes just days ahead of the Rebels first game of the 2025 postseason.
Daniel, a 6-foot-4 junior, left the the program in November but to this point had not announced his plan to enter the portal. He played in 63 games over the previous two seasons with only seven starts.
“This is part of college basketball. We wish him the best, period. He’s a guy that I’ll always pull for… He’s no longer a part of our team here, but we wish him the best. He’s got a bright, bright future,” said Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard to the media back in November.
Daniel was a former four-star recruit from Dallas who ranked in the top 120 nationally on multiple recruiting services. He shot over 35 percent from three and averaged 5.5 points per game. Daniel will have two years of eligibility remaining after redshirting this season.
