In the latest edition of Musso at the Box, host Matt Musso previewed LSU baseball’s SEC opener against Missouri, set for a three-game series beginning Friday night at Alex Box Stadium.
LSU enters conference leading the SEC with a .346 team batting average and a 3.06 ERA. Missouri, meanwhile, has struggled, posting a 6.20 ERA, the worst in the conference.
Musso analyzed projected pitching matchups, with LSU expected to start Kade Anderson on Friday, followed by Anthony Eyanson, and Chase Shores on Saturday and Sunday.
Musso predicts LSU will win two of three games, with a chance for a sweep. He also emphasized the importance of a strong start, given last year’s early SEC struggles.
