Bregman sizzling in 19-game on base streak

Alex Bregman feels right at home in his new city.

After nine brilliant seasons in Houston that included two all-star appearances, a Silver Slugger Award, a Gold Glove and a pair of World Series championships, Bregman signed with the Boston Red Sox in the offseason.

He’s made quite an impression.

After a three-hit night on Wednesday that included a home run, Bregman is now on a 19-game on-base streak. Over that 19 games, he’s hitting .378 with seven home runs, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored.

Bregman leads his new team in batting average, home runs, RBI, on base percentage and OPS. He also leads the American League in doubles.

Bregman’s legacy in Houston is cemented. He’s wasted no time carving a new one in Boston.
