The NFL’s rookie premiere weekend is under way, giving a first look at several of the league’s rookies (42 this season) in their new uniforms. Among this year’s group is New Orleans Saints rookie and quarterback Tyler Shough.

The rookie had two numbers from which to choose when arriving in the Big Easy. No. 6 and No. 18 were the only available numbers for the quarterback. After receiving the blessing of Saints legend and former punter Thomas Morstead, the rookie chose to suit up in his old number.

Shough, the only Saints rookie invited to the premiere event, impressed during his rookie minicamp reps and now the hype continues to build around his inaugural season, wherein he could be named the team’s starter sooner than what might usually be expected for a non-first round quarterback pick. This look provides the first for fans in full uniform.
