News: In a rather shocking turn of events, Texas A&M outfielder Jace LaViolette will play tonight against LSU in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.
I’m told the broken bone in his hand can’t get worse so it’s become a pain management situation. I expect to see him in a DH role. pic.twitter.com/FxTgWjBsBL

LaViolette, an All American and likely first round pick in July’s MLB Draft, took a pitch off his left hand Thursday against Auburn. His hand was heavily wrapped and his finger in a splint in the dugout after the injury.
Texas A&M head coach Michael Earley confirms that Jace LaViolette fractured his left hand and will miss the remainder of the SEC tournament.
