BATON ROUGE, La — Sophomore Jaden Noot will start for LSU in the Baton Rouge Regional final against Little Rock Sunday night at Alex Box Stadium.

The 6-foot-4, 228 pound right-hander has made just four starts on the season. In 30.1 innings, he has a 3.86 ERA with 41 strikeouts and 13 walks. His longest outing of the season is four innings, which he has done three times. One of those was a start against Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament semifinals where Noot allowed two runs on three hits while striking out seven and walking just one.

LSU’s pitching staff enters the game Sunday night well rested. Anthony Eyanson and Kade Anderson combined to hurl 14.2 innings for the Tigers in their first two wins of the regional. Jay Johnson’s top bullpen arms Zac Cowan, Casan Evans and Chase Shores have not thrown this weekend.

Cowan and Evans have not seen game action since the South Carolina series the final weekend of the regular season.

First pitch is set for 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPNU. It can be heard on affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network, including Eagle 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge.

LSU needs one win to advance to the Super Regional round next weekend. Little Rock would need to upset the Tigers to force a deciding game Monday night.

The Trojans will be the home team in Sunday night’s game.
