NEW ORLEANS, La. — The NFL has released reporting dates for training camps across the league, including the New Orleans Saints.
Many teams have different reporting dates for rookies and veterans, usually with rookies reporting a week early. The Saints, however, will have one date for both.
Per the league, the Saints’ rookies and veterans will both report for camp on Tuesday, July 22.
Camp will begin at the team’s practice facility in Metairie, La. After a few weeks, the Saints will move their operations to Irvine, Calif. August 6-15, as head coach Kellen Moore announced last week.
The team will not have joint practices with the Los Angeles Chargers, as originally expected.
Last year, the team’s veterans reported July 23 and camp began in earnest on July 24. By that logic, it’s safe to assume that New Orleans will begin training camp on July 23 this year.
Announcements regarding the official beginning of camp, practice dates and potentially open practice dates will likely come to light in the coming few weeks.
