BATON ROUGE, La. — After top quarterback target Bowe Bentley committed to Oklahoma last weekend, LSU wasted little time dishing out an offer to another uncommitted 2026 signal caller.
Bryson Beaver shared on his X account that Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan extended the formal offer.
Grateful to say @LSUfootball offered! Appreciate @CoachBrianKelly and @CoachJoeSloan believing in me. Looking forward to learning more about what makes LSU such a great place. GEAUX TIGERS! pic.twitter.com/zQ7ePltDly

Beaver is a 6-foot-3, 185 pound three-star from Murietta, Cali., Vista Murrieta (HS). He is the No. 870 overall prospect in the On3 Composite and the 55th best quarterback. On3 ranks him as a four-star and the No. 19 signal caller in the 2026 class.
He is thought to be a lean to Oregon, where he visited last weekend, but also has offers from Ole Miss and Alabama. Auburn offered Beaver Sunday shortly after the LSU offer rolled in.
LSU did not sign a quarterback in the most recent class after top prospect Bryce Underwood flipped to Michigan just before the December signing period. With Underwood committed for nearly a year, LSU was not heavily pursuing top quarterbacks in 2026. Bentley became the Tigers’ top target, but ultimately picked the Sooners.
LSU starter Garrett Nussmeier will be out of eligibility after 2025, leaving sophomore transfer Michael Van Buren and redshirt freshman Colin Hurley as the only scholarship quarterbacks on the roster for 2026.
