Peyton Todd will finish his college career in his hometown at UL-Monroe.
The former LSU punter signed with the Tigers in 2021 and after redshirting as a freshman, played in 16 games over his four seasons in Baton Rouge. He punted 19 times for a 41.3 yard average in 2024 while sharing time with transfer Blake Ochsendorf. Todd also served as LSU’s primary holder for field goals and PATs.
LSU added Middle Tennessee transfer punter Grant Chadwick for 2025.
Todd–6-foot-5, 230 pounds–was the nation’s top punting prospect out of West Monroe High School.
While he showed off a big leg, consistency was a key hiccup for Todd. After the 2024 Spring Game, Brian Kelly expressed his frustration with Todd, “Not as consistent as I would like,” Brian Kelly said. “I thought today was an opportunity for him to just say, ‘There is no competition here,’ and he’s got to be more consistent, quite frankly.”
Todd has one season of eligibility remaining.
