The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has waived guard Antonio Reeves.
Reeves, 6-5, 205, appeared in 44 regular season games (six starts) for the Pelicans last season, averaging 6.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 15.0 minutes per game. Reeves also appeared in 11 games (all starts) last season for the Birmingham Squadron, the Pelicans’ G League affiliate, averaging 24.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 38.5 minutes per game.
Originally selected with the 47th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft out of the University of Kentucky, Reeves holds collegiate averages of 15.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting .452 from the floor, .384 from three point range and .801 from the free throw line over five college seasons with Illinois State (two seasons) and Kentucky (three seasons).
