Many New Orleans Saints players have been busy working with local communities both in New Orleans and back in their old stomping grounds.
The latest example comes from Saints’ second-year cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry who held his first youth football camp at his alma mater Pinson Valley High School.

Located in Pinson, Ala. (a suburb of Birmingham), the school’s campus is about 75 miles northeast of Tuscaloosa where McKinstry played college football as a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
McKinstry joins several Saints players that have hosted youth football events this offseason. Quarterback Spencer Rattler recently celebrated the third summer of his camp in Columbia, SC. Defensive end Cam Jordan and safety Tyrann Mathieu each held camps as well while quarterback Tyler Shough served as a counselor for the Manning Passing Academy.
The second-year cornerback is set to take on a large role for the Saints in 2025. He is likely to be thrust into one of the outside cornerback roles following the departures of starters Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo since last year’s trade deadline.
But before he steps in to take on more responsibilities for the Saints, he’s living out his responsibilities to his hometown.
“It’s a blessing to have these kids out here,” McKinstry said. “A blessing to have the family members out here. We’re going to be out here all day giving our all. Go Saints.”
