LSU’s outfield squeezed Ashton Larson’s playing time in 2025.
He’ll give it a try at Texas in 2026.

The Overland Park, Kansas, product emerged as a key cog as a freshman in 2024, but a rough 2025 start cemented him into a bench role as Derek Curiel, Chris Stanfield, Jake Brown and Josh Pearson roamed the Tiger outfield.
With Curiel, Stanfield and Brown returning, playing time was going to be difficult for Larson to find in 2026.
Larson hit .256 over 34 at bats as a sophomore.
