After a strong performance by the New Orleans Saints defense on day two of camp, all eyes will turn to the offense to see if the unit can rebound. Thursday was a red zone work day, pitting each side of the ball against one another on a shortened field. If things open up on Friday before the day off, it could turn into a fun, competitive practice.
Here are three players worth watching in the process.
Wide Receiver Rashid Shaheed
The speedy receiver has been a standout since OTAs. His recent two-touchdown practice performance was overshadowed by conversation about the quarterback battle and string defensive outing. If Shaheed can build on the impressive day, he could provide some fireworks.

Tight End Juwan Johnson
Johnson has played across multiple team units in the first two days and has made plays across them. The tight end reeled in a toe-tapping touchdown on Thursday and will be looking to string together a third consecutive string practice.
With fellow tight ends Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill sidelined to start camp, Johnson is seeing a lot of opportunity. And while some at his position have been dealing with some drop concerns early in camp, Johnson’s had no issues bringing down big passes.

Cornerback Quincy Riley
The rookie corner brought down the first interception of camp on Thursday. He now has a chance to repeat his strong performance. While the pick is the easy highlight of his camp so far, he was also only targeted once during the second day. His coverage has been tight and he’s helped to force a few second-action plays. If the Louisville ballhawk keeps it up, he can quickly advance the conversation around who starts on the outside at corner.
