This one isn’t terribly surprising to see, but the impact is clear. The New Orleans Saints’ wide receiver room is running out options to add and improve.
Wide receiver Keenan Allen is reuniting with the Los Angeles Chargers after a visit earlier this week, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Reunion: The #Chargers are signing their own former star WR Keenan Allen, one of the top FAs available, per me and @TomPelissero. He recently visited and mutual interest was clear.

NOLA.com’s Jeff Duncan reported that the Saints were trying to court Allen this offseason. However, the receiver made it clear during an appearance on “The Big Dog Show” that his sights were set and honed in on two spots in particular. “I will say this: I’m not playing. It’s Chicago or LA.,” he said.
The Saints are pleased with their wide receiver configuration, which is heavily populated by speedy wideouts like Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Brandin Cooks and Mason Tipton.
If New Orleans wants to add a more physical player at the position, its options are running out.
One player that could be a solid fit is San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings. He would be a more cost-effective and asset-responsible trade pursuit option than Washington Commanders wideout Terry McLaurin.
It would be wise for the Saints to continue their pursuit of a physical, possession-type receiver to add to the room. If they wanted to land Allen, there are few remaining options that won’t break the draft pick bank or empty the wallet.
