CARSON, Calif. — The New Orleans Saints confirmed two moves Thursday morning before beginning their joint practices against the Los Angeles Rams.
The team announced that it has signed defensive end Jeremiah Martin (6-foot-4, 265 pounds) and waived quarterback Hunter Dekkers.
The move was previously forecast by LouisianaSports.net, among reporters that saw Martin present during pre-practice warm ups. Meanwhile, Dekkers was not spotted.
Looks like the #Saints signed DE Jeremiah Martin from yesterday’s tryouts.
Assuming QB Hunter Dekkers was the corresponding move. Don’t see him here.

This is now the second time that Dekkers has been waived this offseason. It seems likely that this will be a regular part of the Saints’ roster management while necessary.
The team will fly back to New Orleans Friday to prepare for the second preseason game Sunday against the Jaguars.
