Starting right guard Walker Parks couldn’t scrimmage Thursday as Clemson continues preparation for LSU in the season opener.
Head coach Dabo Swinney provided an update Thursday.
“He’ll be alright,” Swinney said. “He’ll be good to go. He didn’t go today. We held him today, but he’ll be alright.”
Parks did not participate after reportedly suffering an injury during the team’s Aug. 9 scrimmage. The Clemson Insider was the first to report Parks’s injury. Multiple outlets have reported Parks is using crutches while he recovers.
The 6-foot-5, 310 pound senior is entering his sixth season at Clemson and has played in 53 career games with 42 starts.
The Tigers’ expected starting running back Adam Randall has also been battling an undisclosed injury, practicing in a no-contact jersey this week.
Clemson opens the season at home Aug. 30 against No. 9 LSU.
