This year’s start to the college football season was as full of emotion as it was anticipation. Lee Corso said goodbye to fans in his final appearance and headgear selection on ESPN’s College Gameday.
Afterwards, social media reacted. Here were some of our favorite tweets.
“Give me my first love!”

Part of our childhood is gone.
But what an incredible thing we got to witness for 30+ years from Lee Corso.
Absolute puddles. Sports, man.
