Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy was nearly 100 yards behind a fatal crash that killed a 78 year-old man last December, a newly released video shows.
Lacy’s attorney Matt Ory gave a wide-ranging interview on HTV10 that was released Friday which included security camera footage of the collision. The full interview can be seen here.
Ory says that Lacy was 72.6 yards behind the vehicles at the time of crash. After the wreck, Lacy’s car is spotted approaching and driving around the accident.
“That is not how this story was painted. Never,” Ory said.

During the interview, Ory discloses his findings that would have been presented in court. Among the evidence is body camera footage of a Louisiana State Trooper interviewing a witness at his home. The man’s testimony on camera directly contradicts the written report which implicated Lacy.
Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run and reckless operation of a vehicle. He committed suicide on April 12 of this year, one day before a grand jury hearing in his case.
