Six SEC teams were on bye this past Saturday, but that didn’t stop the rankings from shifting. Road losses by Vanderbilt and Texas caused major movement. Here are the latest SEC quarterback rankings based on on-field performance this season.

- Taylen Green, Arkansas
Bye week for Green, but with offensive minded Bobby Petrino taking over the reins for the program it should be fun to see what he does against a very vulnerable Tennessee defense.
- Gunner Stockton, Georgia
Stockton had a great game against Kentucky, finishing with a 65.2% completion and three touchdowns. It’s still surprising that Georgia isn’t able to generate more explosive, downfield plays in the passing game especially considering what they brought in from the portal this offseason.

- LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina
Sellers had a bye week. Now starts an absolute gauntlet of a schedule for the Gamecocks that includes five straight top 15 opponents. The first one will be in Death Valley this Saturday night against LSU. Sellers was on pace for over 400 yards of offense and four touchdowns last year against the Tigers before he was injured and had to sit out the second half.
- Joey Aguilar, Tennessee
Bold prediction: Aguilar is going to be back in the top five after this weekend. The Arkansas defense has more holes in it than a box of dozen donuts from Dunkin. My goodness, they’re bad.
- Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt
Pavia was right about one thing in Tuscaloosa, the game wasn’t close. Unfortunately, his two redzone turnovers against Alabama were costly enough to drop him from the top five this week, even with 256 yards of total offense.

- Marcel Reed, Texas A&M
Reed is developing a new trait that should terrify everyone on the Aggies schedule: consistency. The efficiency is still a work in progress, as he currently ranks 15th in the SEC in completion percentage. However, he’s racked up 13 touchdowns to just three interceptions on the season. He finished with three touchdowns in a game for the third time this season, and now the Aggies welcome Florida to town. This should be the toughest defensive test yet for this Aggies offense.

- John Mateer, Oklahoma
Mateer was out due to injury, but he could potentially be back for the Texas game. We know that thanks to a Chipotle employee on a message board. What a sport.
- Beau Pribula, Missouri
This week is a massive opportunity for Pribula, as the Tigers will face Alabama with a great chance at an upset. Pribula leads the SEC in completion percentage at 75.9%. Pribula has been a top five quarterback in the league all season long. It will be interesting to see how much Eli Drinkwitz uses his right arm on Saturday given how elite Missouri has been at running the football.
- Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss
Chambliss was on a bye week, but he is still one of the best stories in the first half of the season. He’s 3-0 as a starter this season, third in all of FBS in QBR (88.3) and has averaged 406 yards per game in his three starts. This week, he’ll face a Washington State defense that is 128th in FBS in completion percentage allowed (69.5) and is one of just six FBS schools that hasn’t recorded an interception this season.
- Ty Simpson, Alabama
Ty Simpson leads the SEC in passer rating (174.7), is second in passing yards per game (295.6) and passing touchdowns (13), he ranks in the top three in completion percentage (70.3), yards per attempt (9.4) and has also thrown only one interception on the season.
Since the loss to Florida State, he has been a different player and it’s led to Alabama being a different team. Since the week one loss he’s completing 76.5 % of his passes, 10.6 yards per attempt and nearly 14 yards per completion.
