Each week during the football season, professional sports bettor Lee Sterling joins “After Further Review” with Matt Moscona to preview the biggest games of the college football weekend. Here is Lee’s prediction for LSU vs. South Carolina:
LSU and South Carolina both coming off of byes and Tigers have had an extra week just to stew over that awful performance there in Oxford. It’s a big number, man. LSU’s laying 9 1/2 at home. How do they handle the Gamecocks coming in?
If they can’t get it done this week and can’t blow out South Carolina by double digits, I think this offense is never going to erupt. They’re coming off of a bye, coming off of a loss, so you can be assured they’re going to bring it. Four of the five times, (LSU scored) 23 points or less. I know South Carolina got robbed. I’ve heard it from every South Carolina fan all offseason since that game last year. But even after those questionable calls, LSU is still 12-2 against the spread as an SEC home favorite. And I don’t think Sellers is that good and I don’t like his weapons here. LSU 31-17. They finally beat a decent team by double digits.
