Tennessee baseball coach Tony Vitello is reportedly close to finalizing a deal to become the next manager of the San Francisco Giants, per The Athletic. The Giants parted ways with Bob Melvin at season’s end.

Vitello led Tennessee to a national championship in 2024 and has been among college baseball’s elite coaches, producing 10 first-rounders, 52 total draft picks, and five straight Super Regional appearances.
