Anytime there are seven games on the Saturday slate, you’d expect some line movement across the board. This week, however, is the slowest we’ve seen all year for line movement. Four of the seven games have the same lines currently that they opened, and only two moved more than a single point.
One of those two games is the Alabama-South Carolina game, and though it moved two points from 13.5 to 11.5, that was on Monday. It hasn’t moved since. Several games moved a point or two throughout the week, but as of Friday were back to their original lines.
Texas opened as a 7.5 point favorite and dipped down to 6.5 before returning to its original opening line. The same happened for Tennessee-Kentucky and Ole Miss-Oklahoma.
The only line that saw significant movement was with the Auburn Tigers. For the third time this season, the Tigers opened as a favorite and will close as an underdog. It happened against Missouri last week and Baylor at the start of the year. This week they opened as a road favorite at Arkansas. By Tuesday morning that line moved three points in favor of Arkansas and has since risen another point up to 2.5 where it stands now.
Here’s a look at this week’s SEC betting lines.
