Saints Fuaga, Bresee absent Friday

The New Orleans Saints’ practice attendance has been a widely discussed topic this week, and that will be sure to continue. Rookie left tackle Taliese Fuaga was absent again Friday while a couple of new names were added to the list of players not seen during the portion of practice open to the media. Defensive tackle Bryan Bresee, who is set with true breakout potential here in 2024 was not seen. Though his absence may not have been injury related. Similarly, defensive end Isaiah Foskey was not seen.
Here are the players that were not seen at the portion of practice open to the media on Friday:
Not Seen:
CB Marshon Lattimore
DT Khalen Saunders
LB D’Marco Jackson
DE Isaiah Foskey
OT Taliese Fuaga
DT Bryan Bresee
With Lattimore and Fuaga still missing from practice, it is likely that rookie cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry will be starting opposite veteran corner Paulson Adebo this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. When it comes to the offensive line, it will be dependent upon starting left guard Lucas Patrick’s injury progress as he recovers from a toe injury that sat him out of the second quarter of the team’s Week 1 win.
If Patrick is good to go, it is reasonable to continue to expect swing offensive lineman Landon Young to plug in at left tackle. The team could consider moving right tackle Trevor Penning back to the left side, but upsetting an additional position when they have the chance to field four of their five starters this weekend would not make much sense.
An injury report will be back later today which will provide updates on each of the above listed players and more. The report will also include game designations for Sunday against the Cowboys.
