Saints’ Taysom Hill doubtful to return with injury

Through what has been an outstanding game for the New Orleans Saints, they have seen a couple of dinged up players. Both wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. and safety Tyrann Mathieu dealt with ailments before returning to the field. However one key injury will be an important one to watch, a chest injury for offensive weapon Taysom Hill.
Hill, who has had a modest game in terms of production in what has been an early blowout, left the game during the team’s sixth-straight scoring drive and is doubtful to return.
Hill’s production may have been limited to three carries for 18 rushing yards and a one-yard completion. But his role as a blocker and creator has been pivotal for the team’s run game which currently averages 5.5 yards per carry. Hill also drew a defensive pass interference penalty on a crucial third down.
The designated tight end leaving the game impacts more than just that one room. His versatility taking snaps in the backfield and all over the team’s special teams units only magnifies his absence.

Crazy how one injury impacts like seven different positions when it comes to Taysom. https://t.co/n6bnfvXh8C

New Orleans is looking to hold on to a big lead in the fourth quarter against the Dallas Cowboys. If they can, there should be no reason to rush Hill back. Expect them to let him get his rest ahead of another physical and challenging opponent, the Philadephia Eagles, next week.
