METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints may be without another important piece on offense.
During Wednesday’s practice, not only was running back Alvin Kamara absent, but the team also saw its star wide receiver Chris Olave leave practice early.
WR Chris Olave left practice early with an unspecified issue during the portion open to media Wednesday. Should find out more when Kellen Moore speaks shortly.
Also didn’t see RB Alvin Kamara (knee). WR Dante Pettis was present but not participating.

If the Saints end up being without Olave for Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins, rookie quarterback Tyler Shough will have quite a depleted unit around him. Especially if Kamara is also unavailable.
The offense would then be without Olave, Kamara, and starting center Erik McCoy due to injury and have traded away two starters in former left guard Trevor Penning and former wideout Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. New Orleans also recently moved on from another receiver, Brandin Cooks, in a mutually agreed upon release.
Olave’s status will be one to watch throughout the week, as the Saints’ offense navigates some dramatic roster changes throughout the final six-game stretch.
