During his introductory press conference Monday, LSU head coach Lane Kiffin described the first time he walked in the LSU Football Operations Building.
“Then you walk into the facility, and I, and the coaches, our general manager, you walk in, and I’m looking around and it’s like we’re in the NFL,” he said.
The general manager he was referring to is Billy Glasscock, who followed Kiffin to LSU from Ole Miss. According to Football Scoop, LSU’s current general manager Austin Thomas will not be a part of Kiffin’s staff.
Thomas and Kiffin have a long history together, first at Tennessee and then at Southern Cal. More recently, Kiffin hired Thomas at Ole Miss before he accepted his current position at LSU in January 2024.
Glasscock joined Kiffin at Ole Miss in 2024 after spending the previous three seasons at Texas as the director of player personnel.
