Ticket prices in Knoxville are going up.
Tennessee announced Tuesday they will be adding a 10 percent talent fee to season and single-game tickets to help generate money for their revenue sharing athletes. The fee will be included starting in 2025, and there will also be an increase in ticket prices as well. Thanks to the recent success of multiple sports throughout the entire athletic department, tickets to Volunteer games will increase by four and a half percent in the next calendar year.
“There has never been a time in college sports where revenue growth has had such a close correlation with winning,” Tennessee officials said in a release.
Tennessee’s baseball team claimed the 2024 College World Series championship, a first in the program’s history. Men’s basketball reached the Elite 8, and football enters conference play ranked sixth.
