NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Saints were already short-handed coming into their Week 16 game against the New York and the offense has taken another hit.
In the third quarter, tight end Foster Moreau caught a five-yard pass and was taken down awkwardly on the tackle. He stood up gingerly and after getting to his feet, he walked slowly off the field and directly into the injury tent.
After being checked in the tent for a short while, he exited the tent and was taken to the locker room. Soon after, he was declared questionable to return with an ankle injury.
Moreau has been a key piece for the Saints’ protection game after missing the early portion of the year recovering from a knee injury suffered late in the 2024 season.
The former LSU Tiger has compiled just 59 receiving yards since his return, but has been valuable in the run game and as a team leader.
His contract is set to void after this season. Depending on the severity of the injury, he may have taken his final snap of the season. Beyond that, the future for the boisterous tight end is up in the air.
