NEW ORLEANS, La. – An unfortunate injury may sideline one the New Orleans Saints’ brightest young defensive talents for some time.
During the fourth quarter, shortly after the team saw tight end Foster Moreau leave with an ankle injury, defensive tackle Bryan Bresee went down on an Alontae Taylor sack and remained on the field for some time while being tended to by training staff. Several Saints defenders were on the field on one knee showing support for the 2023 first-round draft pick.
He was evaluated in the injury tent for a short while before being taken back to the locker room.
Bresee led the Saints’ defense in sacks last year with 7.5. He’s totaled just 2.5 this season, but made some impressive strides as a run stopper.
He was declared questionable to return with a knee injury as the fourth quarter began.
