METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints were without one of their star players during the final practice session of the week, which will be a huge story to watch heading into the team’s Week 17 game against the Tennessee Titans.
Here are the players that were not seen at the open portion of Friday’s practice:
- WR Chris Olave
- RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle)
- LB Nephi Sewell
- OL Cesar Ruiz (ankle)
- TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden (knee)
- TE Foster Moreau (ankle)
- DL Bryan Bresee (knee)
Olave being absent is the big surprise going into this week’s game. The wideout is coming off a career-high receiving yards performance and has been listed as nursing a back injury on Thursday’s estimated injury report. However, he was listed as a full participant. The Friday afternoon injury report will shed more light regarding the reasoning for his being out and will include his game designation.
Fellow receiver Mason Tipton, has also been listed on the practice participation reports throughout the week with a groin injury, but was present and working on the field on Friday along with the rest of the wide receiver group.
